Multicenter Trials Committee
The Multicenter Trials (MCT) Committee continues the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma (EAST) mission by facilitating the development and execution of high-quality multicenter trials within the fields of trauma, emergency general surgery and surgical critical care. Multicenter trials can be difficult and require greater coordination, support, and resources than single-center trials. The EAST MCT Committee helps this challenging endeavor by supporting investigator-led studies, providing a forum for collaboration among different investigators and institutions, and promoting participation among all EAST members. In addition, the EAST MCT committee works to foster junior MCT investigators via mentorship and scholarship. The EAST MCT Committee’s primary function, thus, strives to meet and embodies the EAST Core Strategic Goals: leadership, development, scholarship, fellowship, and collaboration.
Committee members are appointed by the President with approval by the Board of Directors. Committee member terms are three years. All terms begin in January and conclude in January in the year specified in "term ends".
