Global Surgery Ad Hoc Task Force
Early and mid-career surgeons are increasingly becoming interested in Global Surgical Engagement. Bidirectional global surgical engagement would improve education by exposing individuals to resource limitations, pathologies, geographies, and ideas not encountered nationally which will improve care of the injured patient. This will also benefit international communities by exposing them to EAST PMGs, literature reviews, and networks. The Global Surgery Ad Hoc Task Force is charged with providing education and leadership in this emerging area of acute care surgery.
This ad hoc task force was approved by the EAST Board of Directors on April 13, 2023. The initial term of ad hoc task force is May 1, 2023 - April 30, 2025 and can be extended with Board approval.
